Job Description
Are you an ambitious narrative creator with a proven track record of translating complex technical concepts into engaging, high-impact communications? Do you know how to build a voice that speaks clearly to customers, investors, and the broader market alike in an industry growing at pace? Do you want to be part of a company building the compute infrastructure powering the AI revolution?
Perhaps you're jaded by traditional corporate PR — where writing is routinely sanitized by dull, corporate tone of voice guidelines — and you want to scale a high-stakes narrative from the ground up, this is the opportunity you’ve been looking for.
Comms Search & Selection are delighted to be appointed the exclusive search partner to Fluidstack in their search for a Communications Lead. This pivotal, foundational role will be responsible for building Fluidstack's narrative as they accelerate off the back of a $50 billion investment from Anthropic in American AI infrastructure, having been appointed to build the computing infrastructure at mutliple data centers across the U.S.

About Fluidstack & The EVP
At Fluidstack, we build the compute, data centers, and power that will fuel artificial superintelligence. We supply gigawatts (GWs) of compute capabilities to the world’s biggest AI labs, governments, and startups at industry-defining speeds. We are working with intense urgency to make AGI a reality.
Our team is small, exceptionally fast, and obsessed with quality. We own outcomes end-to-end, challenge consensus assumptions, and treat our customers' problems as our own. No task is beneath anyone here. There are only a few thousand people in the world who will actively shape the trajectory of superintelligence — Fluidstack is where they come to build it. If you are deeply motivated by purpose, obsessed with excellence, and ready to work very hard to accelerate the future of intelligence, this is your platform.
We are looking for a Communications Lead who acts as a true narrative operator. You will work peer-to-peer with our executive leadership team to own our public narrative from the ground up, translating complex technical, strategic, and hardware realities into crisp messaging that resonates deeply with customers, investors, and the wider market.
What You Will Do
This is an execution-first role for a hands-on builder. You will own all company messaging end-to-end, ensuring every single word we publish is deliberate, precise, and on-brand.
-
Channel the Vision: Partner directly with leadership to translate dense technical and strategic ideas into high-signal external narratives. You will own the company blog, website copy, thought leadership, and executive communications.
-
Build the Media & Channel Strategy: Construct a targeted media strategy that puts Fluidstack in front of the right audiences. You will cultivate direct relationships with top-tier tech and business journalists and analysts, knowing exactly when to make noise and which channels to deploy.
-
Manage High-Stakes Comms: Act as the calm, steady hand during critical corporate moments. You will plan and execute high-profile funding announcements, significant product launches, executive profiling, and sensitive crisis communications.
-
Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work across leadership, sales, and recruiting to ensure our external voice is perfectly consistent and compelling at every single touchpoint—from high-stakes investor decks to outward-facing job postings.
-
Track Data & Protect Positioning: Monitor the rapidly evolving AI infrastructure landscape to keep Fluidstack’s positioning sharp and responsive. You will actively track coverage, engagement, and reach data to continuously optimize our strategy and prove real business impact.
Who You Are
We are flexible about the specific sector you come from, but you must have a track record of building and owning a narrative (for a company and/or in a personal capacity) from the ground up rather than just running someone else's playbook. For example, you will have an established Substack or personal blog, a punchy X profile, or newsletter and you write with insight and conviction.
We look for the following core criteria:
-
Exceptional Original Writing Skills: You write with absolute clarity, precision, and a distinct voice. You know how to make heavy technical concepts look effortless on the page.
-
Technical Instinct & Domain Experience: Proven experience in communications, PR, or content strategy — ideally within a fast-moving technology, hardware, or infrastructure environment. You are naturally curious about compute logistics and underlying technical architectures.
-
Established Media Network: You possess existing, trusted relationships with key tech and business media outlets, and you understand how to work with journalists effectively.
-
Strategic & Autonomous Execution: You have sharp judgment and understand business context deeply, allowing you to translate company priorities into communications that serve them. You are comfortable operating completely autonomously in a scaling environment where priorities shift and speed matters.
Benefits
-
Competitive total compensation package (cash + equity upside)
-
Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
-
Retirement plan
- Health & Fitness Facilities
- Learning Budget
- Generous PTO policy
-
Plus additional perks
The Process & Next Steps
